Adrian

I am Adrian, and I live in the northeast corridor between Sengkang and Punggol — close enough to the waterway for evening walks, close enough to the MRT for the daily commute into town. MindDrift is my personal notebook on the open web: short, quiet pieces about ordinary places and the thoughts that almost escape before I write them down.

I work a regular office week and steal writing time in mornings, lunch breaks, and the hour after dinner when the flat goes still. I am not a journalist, not a photographer for hire, and not trying to build a brand. This site exists because I wanted a fixed place for observations that do not belong in a chat thread or a notes app buried on my phone.

What I notice tends to be small — the uncle who remembers your order, an LRT announcement on a quiet platform, light moving across a wall while a fan turns.

What you will find here

Most entries begin with something small: a cup of kopi cooling on a kopitiam counter, the rhythm of an LRT door closing, light on a ceiling fan blade. I am interested in the almost-said — the sentence that forms and then dissolves when someone calls your name or the train arrives. The writing stays close to ground level. No lists of where to eat, no promises of a better version of your life. Just records of attention.

Why MindDrift

The name refers to the way attention slides when you are tired or between tasks — not a lifestyle slogan, just a description. Thoughts arrive on their own schedule. Writing them here is my way of catching a few before they move on.

Disclaimer

This is a personal blog. Everything here is written by me and reflects my own experiences, opinions and memories at the time of writing. Posts are personal reflections and are not professional, medical, legal, financial or fitness advice. Places and everyday moments are described from my own point of view; I do not name or speak for anyone else, and I try to write about my neighbourhood kindly and honestly. If I have got something wrong, tell me and I will fix it.
